Jody Mak (Lai Ho)

Jody’s passion is treating musculoskeletal injuries and neurological disorders. She facilitates clients to optimize their functional movement, with hands on therapy, acupuncture and exercise therapy.

After graduating from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2000, with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Jody gained experience in public hospitals, private practices, aged care and rehabilitation center for people with disability in Hong Kong.

Jody commits to have continuous learning in physiotherapy. In 2003, she completed a high diploma course of acupuncture in the Hong Kong Baptist University. She also studied the Mulligan techniques provided by the Curtin University’s Manual Therapy program. Jody undertook clinical Pilates course up to Level 4 and Yoga instructor training up to 200 hours. In 2017, she graduated with Master degree of Stroke and Clinical Neuroscience and published a journal related to spasticity.

Jody applies her knowledge into skills. She incorporates different techniques to make effective treatment. She enjoys helping clients to relieve pain or stiffness by hands on therapy, acupuncture and self-management. She loves and teaches exercises, especially Pilates and Yoga, to train up the core muscles that are essential for our daily functions.
